Having Ken Ludwig premiere his zany new comedy with Tony Award® winner John Rando at the helm is an especially welcome treat! With a terrific cast, a rapid-fire plot and the talents of Ken and John, A Fox on the Fairway promises to be filled with plenty of laughs and shenanigans!”Playwright Ludwig commented, "I couldn't be more thrilled to have the world premiere of my play at Signature Theatre. Their level of artistry and professionalism is always inspiring."Ludwig’s tribute to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s, A Fox on the Fairway takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club. Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it is a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers’ classics. The New York Times has called Ludwig “one of those rare contemporary playwrights who thinks in terms of old-fashioned knockabout farce, and that’s something to be cherished.”PERFORMANCE DATESPerformances of Ken Ludwig’s A Fox on the Fairway run from October 12, 2010 to November 14, 2010.
