Ken Ludwig and Michael Feinstein to Present "An American in Paris" For Charity

Ken Ludwig and the great entertainer and music historian Michael Feinstien will jointly perform a reading of Ludwig's new musical "An American in Paris" on behalf of the Washington Hebrew Congregation in Washington, DC. This one-time event will be presented on Sunday, December 10th, 2006 in the Temple's main sanctuary in order to raise money for the Temple's primary charities. The musical has a book by Ludwig and music by George and Ira Gershwin, and it is based loosely on the film "An American in Paris" from the early 1950s. (The story occurs "backstage" during the filming of the famous movie and the characters include Louis Mayer and his secretary, Rebecca Klemm.) Ludwig and the Gershwins collaborated once before on the successful musical "Crazy For You."
